Fresh eats, pop art, and music collide in the Gansevoort Market for their first ever “mARkeT Show”.
The featured artists were, Cey Adams and photographer, Janette Beckman. Janette’s famed snaps of artists such as LL Cool J and Salt & Peppa were on display after receiving a masterful graffiti treatment by chinobyi, Faust and Claw Money to name a few. Def Jam’s original Creative Director, and master of mixed media, Cey Adams displayed his most recent paintings. Enhanced by the great dj-ing of Stretch Armstrong, Gansevoort’s mARkeT Show earned some definite cool points.
From sweet crepes at the CREPE SUCRE stand, to clam linguini at Ed’s Lobster Bar, the Gansevoort Market has made a huge culinary splash in the Meatpacking District since it’s opening this past October. While many consider it to be another cool place to grab a bite, Gansevoort Market is gearing up to be a neighborhood gem. With more art exhibits in the works, The Gansevoort Market proves it’s more than just your favorite lunch spot.
