Deemed officially as an “Idiot Free Zone” they refuse to tolerate bad behavior from customers and are known for tossing people out of the bar physically. They have a set of House Rules titled “Stuff You Really Need to Know” on the cover of the menu as well as an “Amateur’s Guide to Bar Etiquette.” This unconventional approach to customer service is just one of the many hallmarks of the bar.

They have an extensive menu which includes OMFG burgers with toppings like sliced ham, pineapple salsa, guacamole, blue cheese, pulled pork and fried eggs.  The Vortex is legendary for their Coronary Bypass Burgers which ranges from 4 to 32-oz of ground sirloin! They also have non-beef options such as veggie burgers, grilled chicken, salads, soup, and chili. The Vortex is also home to The Laughing Skull Lounge Comedy Club where they have comedy every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Night at 8 p.m.
