As “Southern charm with a twist of fun” as there mantra; it truly depicts how things are done at the Flying Biscuit.
This is not your IHOP, Waffle House, or Denny’s with any old run out the mill breakfast experience. With healthier options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (real eggs instead of carton, chicken sausage, turkey bacon, and whole wheat bread) and superb customer service, it is an atypical, unforgettable experience.
With locations in North Carolina and Florida as well they have ten locations in Georgia from Atlanta, to Norcross, to John’s Creek. I’ve been living in Atlanta for a little over three years now but my first experience at the Flying Biscuit was a month ago. It was on a Sunday so there was a bit of a wait but I didn’t mind because I had heard such great reviews. What first struck me upon entering were the paintings, the décor, just the ambience and vibe of the café’. It’s eccentric, eclectic with a bit of 60’s retro. The waitress was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. As someone who doesn’t eat grits I declined but the waitress insisted that I try them; it was the best advice I had gotten in a long time. The taste was surreal; you could taste the love and the highest quality ingredients in the food. I ordered a Mango Mimosa as well, that too was splendid. I truly had no complaints, the experience was perfect. If you go once, it won’t be the last.
