The Brownstone Bar and Restaurant in Brooklyn Heights is a fairly new hangout spot which is growing in popularity, due to the brick interior establishment’s happy hour and weekend brunch deals.
Located between the Brooklyn Queens expressway and Flatbush Avenue extension, Brownstone’s story is as interesting as it’s location. The bar was opened by two wrongfully jailed men, Derrick Hamilton and Shabaka Shakur who created the restaurant as a way to give back to the borough of Brooklyn.
Brownstone provides a casual environment to enjoy offerings such as crab cakes, tuna tartare, fish and tuna tacos, or chicken and burgers (like the signature Brownstone burger that comes topped with sautéed mushrooms, red onion marmalade & gorgonzola cheese) for those who aren’t seafood fans. Weekdays Brownstone has happy hour between 5 and 8pm, in which customers get house drinks for $3 cheaper or draft beer with $2 off and on Tuesdays during happy hour appetizers are buy one get one free. Weekend brunch at the Brownstone is currently $30, and unlimited mimosas with your meal are included.
Brownstone Bar and Restaurant is located at 277 Gold Street Brooklyn, NY 11201 and is open Monday-Sunday from 11 am-2am.
