That title is correct by the way.
I know you expected it to say “Screening Room to change how you see movies”. But that isn’t what Screening Room will do, it will help you enjoy opening day movies from the comfort of your own home. From the brainchild of Sean Parker (Co-Founder of Napster & Facebook’s President) comes Screening Room.
Screening Room will let you watch silver screen releases at home for a $150 upfront cost for the necessary hardware. Then $50 for the movie that would include what would be two tickets to the film in theaters. Watching a movie in the comfort of your own home with your own food and it isn’t a bootleg is priceless.
This will help studios, distributors, and theaters to turn a profit from this new method because Screening Room will cut more into piracy than it will into actual theater attendance. Several figures in the film industry, for example J.J. Abrams and Martin Scorsese are co-signing Screening Room.
