Tinker Hatfield has been hard at work in Nike’s innovation kitchen cooking up what some would say is probably the most sought after dream shoe in sneaker history. Fantasy became a reality in 2011 with the extremely limited charity release of the Nike Mag for the Michael J. Fox foundation for Parkinson’s research. Tinker had designed the shoe of the future back in 1989 after producers of the classic film “Back to the Future part II” contacted Nike to help bring this shoe to life. This past week at Agenda Emerge , Tinker confirmed the Nike Mag would indeed be released in 2015 also with the feature of power lacing seen in the film worn by Michael J. Fox ‘s character “Marty McFly”. No word on pricing or a release date as of yet , but this is sure to be a very exciting year for sneakerheads who’ve been longing to fulfill the fantasy of owning a pair of sneakers from the future.
