For today’s Florida spotlight, I’ll be telling you about Tampa’s downtown jewel- The Riverwalk. This location has endless entertainment for all. You can find, entertainment, art, sports, leisure and culture along Tampa Bay’s Riverwalk.
All this fun runs 2.5 miles long along side the Hillsborough River. One side consists of the glistening ripples of the river, while the other side is filled with museums, shopping centers, store fronts, parks and restaurants.
The Riverwalk has a day and night presence. During the day, locals use the Riverwalk for fitness, art displays and brunch/lunch outings. By night, locals and visitors walk outside while music plays, and the enriched smell of great food lingers.
There are many attractions such as the Florida Aquarium, Tampa Bay History Center, Tampa Museum of ArtPort Tampa Bay cruise ship terminal, with the Channelside Bay Plaza strip attached on the right hand side. That’s not just it, for the children, there is the Glazer Children’s Museum.
If you continue north on the Riverwalk you will come up on the Sail Pavilion, where the Tampa Bay Water Bike’s water bikers and e-boaters return for the dock. You will also visit the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.
Although Downtown Tampa is a great location for major cities to work out of, it’s also the core of the city for entertainment for a low price. Make sure when visiting the Tampa Bay, to take a stroll down the Tampa Riverwalk.
