The Migos’ latest track “Bad and Bougee” is jumping the charts! Currently,it’s the No.1 song in the country right now.

Along with being the No.1 song on the Top 100s, their has been a drastic increase in their streams within the last 24 hours.

It seems as though, Childish Gambino’s speech last night (Jan. 8), at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards, led to the Atlanta trios’ 243 percent increase in streams on Spotify. One of the highlights of the night was when Childish Gambino won a Golden Globe for Best TV Series Comedy with FX’s “Atlanta.” When Childish Gambino, also known as Donald Glover, received the award he gave a great speech. Within the duration of the speech, Donald Glover gives a shout out to Migos. He states:

“I really want to thank the Migos, not for being in the show but for making ‘Bad and Boujee.’ Like that’s the best song ever.”

He continues, “I think they’re the Beatles of this generation, and they don’t get a lot of respect, I think, outside of like Atlanta. There’s a generation, sort of like the YouTube generation that I kind of came up with, there’s a generation of kids that are growing up on something that is completely separate from a whole group of people. And honestly, that song’s just fly. There’s no better song to have sex to.”

According to Spotify, the dramatic inflation happened today (Jan. 9) between 7:00 AM-9:00AM EST. Other outlets such as, YouTube and Genius Lyrics, noticed a growth in numbers. Sunday, (Jan.8),the track “Bad and Bougee,” views gained an additional 2.4 million views, followed by another 1.2 million on Monday, (Jan.9th). Genius Lyrics received 4,500 views within an hour after the speech.
