It looks like Kickstarter is making it’s way into the music business.

The crowd-funding social network made its first business acquisition recently. Kickstarter has purchased the music subscription and fan club service. Drip is a community of people who care about music and want to connect with as well as support the artists they love. This is a big move for Kickstarter. The music business continues to evolve as a whole.

Drip as many music subscriptions has a paying plan where if you pay monthly get exclusive perks and music from independent labels. The artists will be supported directly from the payments. Now talk about helping those artists who are independent this is a good look. There is no word yet on what Kickstarter will be doing with Drip but we will be keeping an eye out.
