Its that time of year again….
Annually, Forbes release their list of the World’s 100 Highest Paid Celebrities. In the last year, the celebrities brought in a combined $5.15 billion dollars. In 2017, four musical trailblazers are holding down the top slots for the United States. Diddy is top of the list, raking in a career best of $130 million over the past 12 months. Puff Daddy also landed a spot on Hip Hop’s Wealthiest Artists for 2017.
Next up is the Queen Bey! Beyonce doesn’t really need an introduction for this list, considering she’s made the list last year at number 34, but this year she flew up the chart. The Queen’s Formation Tour and most recent albim ‘Lemonade’ helped the songstress to accumulate $105 million dollars.
Drake takes the fourth slot with his earnings of $94 million. He nearly doubled his earnings while also jumping from 69 to no. 4. His endorsements and tours have made it a really good year for the Canadian rapper.
Another Canadian superstar,The Weeknd is at no. 6 with $92 million. Last time around, The Weeknd was at number 30. The Starboy singer not only made the top 10 but will also be featured on the cover of the June 29th, 2017 issue of Forbes Magazine. He talks about how in the last couple of years, he’s earned over 5.5 billion in streams which got him an advance of $75 million for his latest tour.
