Global EDM Superstar Deadmau5’s new artist used a Microsoft laptop to make his latest single.

The life of a musician means that you’re constantly on the road. And often times a quality recording studio can’t be found on a tour bus, which can stifle creativity. Microsoft’s Surface Tablet eliminates that issue by allowing high-quality recording on a single device.

In a new music and technology partnership, Microsoft partnered with mau5trap label signee ATTLAS  as part of the mau5hax bu5 tour. To celebrate the first mau5hax bu5 tour release – the new ATTLAS single, “Aspen”- the label hosted a private listening party and panel session at the Microsoft Venice Lounge in Los Angeles on March 31.

The private invite-only event included an intimate panel discussion where ATTLAS discussed the technology behind the process, as well as offered an exclusive opportunity for guests to listen to special DJ sets and the new track before the release date.  Peep the video clip for a demo.
